Tanterton Christian Fellowship is a group of Christians who meet regularly in the Tanterton area. We first started meeting together in 1984 and in 1990 we raised the funds to build Tanterton Christian Centre. We believe that God has placed us in the Tanterton area to serve His purposes, to help and pray for those around us, to be His witnesses to all who seek Him.

Pete Goulding
Pete was born in Preston before life took him to Canada and Wales. After being converted in his mid teens, he spent twenty years in Assembly of God churches, ten years pioneering and pastoring a church in Preston, and a few years pastoring a Free Methodist Church in Great Eccleston. Pete hosts the popular podcast "Theology For The Curious". He's married to Rhiannon and has six fabulous children; Grace, Gina, Meka, Eden, David and Bob. He loves filtered coffee, a good IPA, enjoys running, and loves reading reformed theology!
Jonathan Hope
Jonny is on his third session as an Elder at Tanterton Christian Fellowship. He’s on the rota for Leading the Service, Intercessions, the occasional Preach & causing confusion on the PA Desk. He’s a retired nurse of nearly 40 years, working mostly within the Critical Care area. He’s married to Carol, who is also a member at Tanterton Christian Fellowship. They have no children but enjoy treating their dogs like their offspring. His desire is to see people have an open, vibrant and powerful relationship with God.
Ruth Cuthbert
Ruth was elected as a deacon in 2007. She has been Church Secretary since 2009 and chair of trustees since 2020. She has been a member of Tanterton Christian Fellowship since it was founded in 1986. In addition to organising many things in the church Ruth helps on the PA desk. Her career is as an optometrist and she has worked in and around Lancashire since 1978, retiring from high street practice just before the COVID pandemic. She is still involved with the local NHS Regional Team. She is married to John, who is also a member at Tanterton Christian Fellowship. They have 2 grown up daughters: one living in Preston and the other in Cornwall. John and Ruth have 2 grandchildren. Her desire is to see the church growing both numerically and in the knowledge of God and to see people from the Tanterton area come to know the Lord Jesus as their saviour.
Paul Earnshaw
Paul is a deacon and has been Church Treasurer since 2008. He has been a member of Tanterton Christian Fellowship since it was founded in 1986. Paul is a Worship leader and a member of the worship group and plays the Clarinet, Saxophone and Guitar. He is married to Karen, who is also a member at Tanterton Christian Fellowship. They have 2 grown up children and 2 granddaughters, living in Preston. His desire is to see God do immeasurable more in each of his family's lives and to see the message of salvation made known in Tanterton and the wider area.
Sam Smith
Sam is a deacon and has been a member of Tanterton Christian Fellowship since 2016 Sam is a leader of TCF’s youth group for 11–14-year-olds, called Unlimited and is involved in the worship and prayer ministries.
His desire is that TCF can be a beacon of God’s love in the community, both by sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus and by showing God’s love through their actions.
Sam lives in Preston with his wife Claire, who is also a member at Tanterton Christian Fellowship, and their daughters. He works as a company director in the construction industry.
